Whether you are bringing your family to go fishing as you did as a child or arrive in Conover with a group of buddies in search of trophy musky, the numerous lakes, river and streams provide ample opportunity for memories of a lifetime!

While fishing seems to be one of the most popular forms of recreation, our lakes, river and streams also provide canoeing, kayaking, tubing, waterskiing or enjoying a relaxing afternoon with Grandma and Grandpa on the pontoon.

Public Beaches

Conover has two public beaches. Both beaches have picnic areas, comfort stations and ample parking. Biking and hiking trails are also in the same area.

Hunter LakeHunter Lake

Location: From Conover, take Hwy K west to East Buckatabon Road, after you cross the Buckatabon Creek and Dam, turn left on East Hunter Lake Road, travel south for more than two miles to the Hunter Lake Boat Landing Road.

Torch-Lake-BeachTorch Lake

Location: From Conover, take Hwy 45 south to Torch Lake Road, turn west on Torch Lake Road and follow signs up to the beach.
