OHM Trail Riding
The Tamaracks OHM Trail System is located at 5019 Tamarack Road on Conover. This single-track trail system now offers 22 miles of different levels of rider experience. The Green Loop is a beginner to family friendly rider loop that is regularly maintained. The Blue Loop steps up the challenge with more features and a tighter trail tread. The Black Loop is designed for the experienced rider. Slow and technical with rocks and log features just for fun!
This single-track trail system is for both limited use (dirt bikes) and Dual Sport motorcycles. To ride on this trail system all that is required is a Wisconsin DNR OHM Permit. This permit can be purchased at your local DNR office or online at gowild.wi.gov. The Tamaracks is open from May 1st until October 31st.
The main Park and Ride trailhead now features a loading ramp and an open-air Pavilion. Primitive camping is located across the trout stream and reservations can be made online for The Tamarack Springs Campground.
An extensive catalog of GPS guided Dual Sport/Adventure paths have now been re-homed to main park and ride trailhead. They consist of various loops ranging from 20 miles to 250 miles. There are well over 2,100 miles of guided paths providing a fantastic Northwoods experience. The link below will give you access to those GPS guided paths.
