Off Highway Motorcycling (OHM) has arrived in Conover! The Tamaracks OHM Trail system located at 5019 Tamarack Road in Conover has been receiving high praises and increased rider enjoyment since its initial opening in 2018. This single-track trail system is for both limited use (Dirt Bikes) and Dual Sport motorcycles. To ride on this system all that is required is the Wisconsin DNR OHM permit. The permit can be purchased at your local DNR office or online at https://gowild.wi.gov/
The single-track trail is open from May to October. Currently 14 miles of two-way trail riding offers many different levels of rider experience with changing terrain and foliage. The main Park-N-Ride lot now offers a loading ramp. Primitive camping is located across the trout stream and reservations can be made online for The Tamarack Springs Campground.
For 2021 an additional 8 plus miles will be added offering the experienced rider a woods trail with technical features both man made and by mother nature! Also coming soon will be an open-air pavilion located at the main Park-N-Ride area.
